Galinhos by Boat
A paradise peninsula where time moves more slowly
From R$ 175 · North Coast · 12h

Galinhos is one of the most unspoiled destinations in Rio Grande do Norte: nearly deserted beaches, a red-striped lighthouse and warm, welcoming locals. The boat is your transportation for the day. You'll stop at Capim Lagoon, with dunes and wind turbines on the horizon, continue to Galinhos beach and lighthouse (with the option of an “uber-jegue”, a donkey-drawn cart), and have lunch in Galos before passing by André Dune.

FAQ
How do you get to Galinhos?
By road to Pratagil, followed by a short boat crossing, since the peninsula has no direct road access.
What is the uber-jegue?
It's the donkey-drawn cart, the village's traditional taxi, used to reach the lighthouse and get around on the sand.
Can we see seahorses?
On some boat rides through the mangroves they can be spotted, but it's not guaranteed.
